Alvin (Bud) was born on November 28th, 1896 in Hickman Co., Tennessee. Alvin (Bud)'s father was John Jenkins Martin and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth McCord. His maternal grandparents were William H. McCord and Martha G. Anglin. He had two brothers and four sisters, named (Alton) William Benjamin Alton, John Albert Franklin, Mary Jemima Fatima Lousia Jane (Molly), Nancy Sidney Anna, Sarah Frances and Lela Belle M.. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 84 in 1980 in Humphreys, Tennessee. He was buried in Humphreys, Tennessee.General Notes
