Priscilla J. was born about 1857 in Hickman Co., Tennessee. Priscilla J.'s father was John Alexander Clark and her mother was Eliza Jane Beasley. Her maternal grandparents were James Baugh Beasley and Mary Mitchell. She had two brothers and two sisters, named John Samuel, William Franklin, Catherine and Parthoula. She was the oldest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Benjamin, Howell, Albert Lowery and Mary Jane.-
