Susan J. was born on November 14th, 1823 in Williamson Co., Tennessee. Susan J.'s father was James Baugh Beasley and her mother was Mary Mitchell. Her paternal grandparents were Barnet Beasley and Susannah Baugh. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, James Henry, William Hilliard, John Daniel, Zachariah Franklin, Mary Ann, Martha E. and Eliza Jane. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 30 on July 19th, 1854 in Maury Co., Tennessee. She was buried in Godwin Cemetery, Near Theta, Tennessee.-
