Mary Matilda was born on October 27th, 1861 in Hickman Co., Tennessee.1 Mary Matilda's father was William Beasley Esq. and her mother was Matilda Fox. Her paternal grandparents were John Pitts Beasley Jr and Lucy Ellis. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, and also three half-siblings of unknown gender, named John Wiley Berry, William James, Ellis Pitts, Christopher Ledbetter, Henry Gilbert, Tabitha Ann, Lettie B., Maria Josephine, Baby, Baby and Baby. She died at the age of 34 on July 22nd, 1896 in Hickman Co., Tennessee. She was buried in Beale Cemetery, Lick Creek, (Hickman Co.), Tennessee.1 1 -
