Felix Neil was born on September 12th, 1897 in Nashville, (Davidson Co.), Tennessee. Felix Neil's father was John Wiley Berry Beasley and his mother was Henrietta Belle McManus. His paternal grandparents were William Beasley Esq. and Mary T. White. He had four brothers named Walter, William J., John Wiley Berry and Bradford. He was the second youngest of the five children.-
