Barnabas Beasley 
Barnabas was born on May 18th, 1812 in Warren Co., North Carolina. Barnabas' father was John Pitts Beasley Jr and his mother was Lucy Ellis. His paternal grandparents were John Pitts Beasley and Sarah Elizabeth Liles; his maternal grandparents were John Ellis and Lucy Brouder. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Wiley E., John Pitts, Little Berry, William, Nancy Pitts and Mary Ann. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 81 on April 5th, 1894 in Near Linden, (Perry Co.), Tennessee. He was buried in Perry Co., Tennessee.-
