Benjamin Applegate 
Benjamin was born in 1685 in Nut Swamp, Middletown, (Monmouth Co.), New Jersey. Benjamin's father was Thomas B. Applegate and his mother was Johanna Gibbons. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Applegate and Elizabeth Mary Wall; his maternal grandfather was Richard Gibbons. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, Daniel, Richard, Thomas, Joseph and Elizabeth Vaughan. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 68 in 1753 in Nottington Twp., Burlington, New Jersey.-
