Richard Bruce Leach served in the US Navy from the spring of 1939 till early
1946. He served on the Milwaukee till it was given to Russia. He then was on
the Miami in the Pacific . He was a Boatswin,s mate and a gunnery specialist.
He was in the battle of the Coral Sea and saw the USS Merideth go down with
his cousin Earl Lee.He was trained at the Great Lakes Naval base in IL.
