Obituary, Quincy Whig Herald
Thomas Riley McCleary, 86, of Route 4, a retired farmer, died Saturday (July 7,1 856) night at 8:55 in his home.
Born in York County Pennzylvania, October 6, 1869, the son of Henry and Mary Jane McGurk McCleary. Mr. McCleary came to Quincy in 1920 and had lived in Ellington township since that time. He was a member of the Methodist church. On July 26, 1899, he married Miss Frances Adaline Martin in Burlington, Iowa.
Surviving are the widow; two daughters: Mr.s W.S. Baker of Route 4 and Mrs. Albert Wiewel of Fowler; three sons E.I. McCleary of Loraine, Harry C. McCleary of Liberty and Cecil McCleary of Route 4; a sister Milvina of Baltimore, and four grandchildren, Robert, and Donald McCleary of Liberty and Ronald and Karen Wiewel of Fowler.
