CADWELL--In Richmond, March 25, Mrs. Polly , wife of H.S. Cadwell, aged 67 years.
Mrs. C and her husband, were among the early settlers of the township and subject to all the hardships of pioneer life. She was a faithful member of the M.E.Church and death found her prepared for her change.

DIED - In Richmond, March 25, 1880, of consumption, Mrs. Polly, wife of Horace Cadwell, aged 67 years.
Mrs. Cadwell was born in Phelps town, State of New York, in July 1812. She was the daughter of David and Lucy Rockwell, and emigrated with her parents to No. 10, now Richmond, in March 1819, in her 7th ear; it was then a wilderness. She grew up under all the disadvantages of a new country, to be an intelligent and respectable young woman, married at the age of 21 to Horace Cadwell, with whom she lived 46 years and to the end of her life. She was a tender and efficient mother and an agreeable companion. She united with the M.E. Church in the Spring of 1841, and was an acceptable member 39 years to the day of her death. She was much respected in the neighborhood where she had lived for many years, an ornament to the church and society to which she belonged. She leaves a husband, three children and a number of grand-children, and many friends to mourn her loss.
