This indenture made 11 nov 1746 between Samuel Floyd of the County of Northampton Planter of the one part and Charles Floyd of the same county Planter of the second part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Floyd for and in consideration of the sum of 33 pounds Current money of Virginia to him on hand - by the aforesaid Chalres Floyd the receipt where of he has - Samuel Floyd doth hereby acknowledge Hath granted, Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth grant, bargain, Sell and conform unto the afs. Charles Floyd, his heirs and assigns 139 acres of land lying & being on hogg Island in County afs. Bounded: Southernly on the land of Matthew Floyd, Gent.: EAsterly on the ocean, Northerly on the land of Matthew Floyd Sen, Father of the afs. Charles & Westerly on the River as may appear bhy a Division made by Joackim Michael Gent between Berry Floyd Sen, Matthew Floyd Sen & Mathew and the afs. Samuel Floyd, sons of Charles Floyd Dec'd. by consent of the parties as may more at large appear by the plot now recorded in the County Court Records of Northampton being one moeity or half part of 278 acres which formerly belonged to the afs. Charles Floyd deceased Father of the said Samuel & Matthew, and by the said Charles Floyd Devised to his sons equally as may appear by his will recorded in the County Court afsd. To have and to hold the afs. 139 acres be the same more or less with all & singular, the apputenances there to belonging unto the said Charles Floyd, his heirs & Assigns forever & the same will Defend against himself, his Heirs, Executors Administrators and all and every other Person or Persons claiming or to claim any Right, Tittles or Interest there to or to any part there of will Warrant. In Witness whereof the Party to these Presents have set his Hand & Seal the Day and year first above.
