Private in Myrifield Company, commanded by Serget Nathaniel Corbet:
marched 15 Aug 1777 - service 7 days Marched to Bennington NY 14 Aug 1777 by order of Gen. Stark: also Capt. Seth Howard's Co., Col. David Wells (Hampshire Co.) Regt. Enlisted 22 Sep 1777 and discharged 18 Oct 1777with service 1 mo. 2 days in Northern Dept.
Founded Rowe,Ma. and Church of Christ in Rowe, Ma. Previoulsy a Preacher in Sandisfield,Ma at Conngregatonal Church in 1757.
Purchased 10,000 acres at action in Boston,Ma. 02 Jun 1767 for 380 pounds - named it Myrifield: later renamed to Rowe, Ma. Feb 1779 he sold land in Ma and moved to Whitehall(called Skenesborough) NY.
He fought in Revolutionary War at the time of Burgoyne Invasion. He and son, Daniel involved here. Son, Daniel, killed at the Battle of Stillwater. Battle dates:(1) 19 Sep 1777 - 312 US vs. 500 Engl. at Bemis Heights. (2) 07 oct 1777-,150 US vs. 700 Engl.
