A Home Wedding
A pretty wedding took place last evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Martin when their daughter, Wilma Martha became the bride of Guy Marion Langdon. Miss Celeste Sherman of Ann Arbor, was bridesmaid and Edward G. Kay of Detroit, attended the groom.
The house was tastefully decorated throughout with peonies, syringa and ferns, the color scheme of pink and white being carried out. Mrs. Geo Symes rendered a violin solo, "Perfect Day", accompanied by Edward Martin, in her usual pleasing manner. Misses Alpha Clough and Ruby Hosmer sang "Oh Promise Me." while the bridal party took their places in front of a pretty background of pink and white peonies and ferns. An impressive ring service was read by Rev. F.P. Sprague, Pastor of the Congregational church of this place. Little Walter Watson carried the ring hidden in a pink rose.
Miss Martin wore a gown of white draped voile with a jacket of silver lace and chiffon and carried bride's roses. Miss Sherman wore a dainty flowered silk mull and carried sweet peas.
Light refreshments were served by Miss Ruby Hosmer, Miss Georgia Watson, Verne Harris, and Edward Martin, (Verne serving the bride and groom a few extras that were not on the menu.)
Mr. and Mrs. Langdon received many beautiful presents as a token of high esteem in which they were held. They left at 10:30 o'clock by automobile on a short wedding trip. Mr. Langdon has a position with the Hollier Motor Co. in Chelsea, where they will make their home.
The out of town guests were Mrs. C.S. Watson and Miss Louise Watson of Owosso, Miss Celeste Sherman of Ann Arbor, Miss Lucille Ellsworth of Ypsilanti, Miss Florence Simonson of Lansing, Mr Wayne Harris of Lansing and E.G. Kay of Detroit.
