Narrative
William Cromwell arrived in Maryland about 1667, according to his own statement. He first appears in Calvert County, bet soon removed to Anne Arundel County, taking up land on the south side of the Patapsco River, on the west side of Curtis Creek. William probably did not marry until he settled at Patapsco River sometime before 1677.
The will of William Cromwell is on file at the Maryland State Archives in Annapolis, Maryland.
