William Tracy Jr., Esq. of Toddington, was called to the Privy Council of Henry IV., as appears by a private letter, still extant, written by the king in the most flattering terms, and dated 7-21-1401, "from my manor of Sutton". In the 5th year of the reign of Henry V (1417), he was appointed the High Sgeriff of Gloucestershire. Two years later (7th year reign of Henry V), being "one of those personbs of Quality in the County of Gloucester who bearing ancient arms from his ancestors, and holding by tenure", he had summons "to serve the king in person for defense of the relm." He married Alice, widow of William Gifford, and the eldest daughter & co-heiress of Sir Guy de la Spine, Knt., Lord of Coughton, County of Warwick. Their daughter Alice m. Hugh Culme, of Moland, Devan.

Sir William Tracy III, Esq. of Toddington. In the 7th year of the reign of Edward III (1333), a mendate was issued to this William Tracy and to Thomas Berkeley of Coberle, to reaise 300 men from the forrest of Dene and 200 men in the County of Gloucester. He died leaving a son & heir;
