Elizabeth Robb Marshall was called "Lizzie" and and was the daughter of
Rev. Alexander and Mary (Christy) Marshall. She was their eldest daughter and never married. Lizzie joined the First Presbyterian Church in Marion, Iowa in 1877 at the age of 16 years. She never married. For many years, she played the organ for the First Presbyterian Church in Marion. She taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She traveled to every state in the U.S. and many countries around the world.
Elizabeth was born in Marion, Iowa and lived there all her life. She was the eldest daughter. After graduating from Marion schools, she attended college At Oxford, Ohio with a major in music. She also worked at the University of Chicago. She was a Latin teacher in the Marion, Iowa schools and later became the Marion High School principal. She also served on the library board for many years.
She died of cancer.
