Narrative
At the age of 17 or 18, she became involved with, according to descendants, andy Welch, possibly the son of William Welch. The Welch family lived near Charles Cromwell and the Addingtons in the War Gap Ridge section of Russell County, Virginia. As a result of this involvement, Margaret bore Tandy two children:
Andrew Jackson Addington and Elizabeth Addington.
The descendants of Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth say that Andrew and Elizabeth were raised by their Grandparents. This can only mean that margaret Cromwell Addington (Williams Sr's Widow) had remarried and that they and their Mother Margaret were living with them. Margaret married Peter Stallard in Scott County, Virginia, the first Addington marriage on record in the Courthouse at Gate City, Virginia.
