John Catlin, Jr. was killed 2-29-1704, and his wife Mary survived him but a few weeks, dying 4-9-1704. His buildings were all burned, consuming himself and son Jonathan in them. His son Joseph was killed in the Meadow fight. Children John III, Ruth, Mary and Elizabeth were captured and taken on the march to Canada and Mary and Elizabeth were killed of the march. Of his children, Joseph's wife was Hannah Sheldon, Esther's husband was Ebenezer Smead. John returned from Canada in 1706 and Ruth returned in 1707. Mary had m. about 1683 Thomas French and Elizabeth, about 1690, James Corse. Ruth and John were youg, John being 17. He may have been the youngest child in the family.
