Thomas Hartshorn:
Moved to Haverhill from Reading after the death of wife, Hannah. Served in King Phillip's War and on the Haverhill Payroll. In 1698 went to Boston, Charlestown area to the First Church of Boston. In Windham, Connecticut 13 Nov 1709 granted 10 acres for a sawmill. Worked at mills in Charlestown in 1700. In about 1706 he moved to Windham, Connecticut being one of the earliest settlers. Windham granted him 20 acres and he agreed to keep the sawmill in repair. Tended the mill for 20 years. In 1722 conveyed lands to Asa and Richard Swan. In 1728, Thomas was "aged", in need of care and no longer able to run the mills and asked the Windham Selectmen to manage his affairs. Ebenezer said he could not come to care for his father. A village house was bought for Thomas and Sarah. Sep 1729 Joseph Martin bought the mills and 40 acres. Ebenezer and Sarah may have been the only children alive in 1728.
