‌Luther McKinley and Ruth were married in a religious ceremony in 1905.¹   They had four sons and four daughters, named Guy Lancelot, John Luther, Leslie Vernon, Walter Burnell, Eva Kathleen, Mary Ruth, Ethel Iris and Jessie Wilson.
