Caroline was born about 1826 in Ontario.1   Caroline's father was John Wright and her mother was Ann Bannister. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Charles T, John George, Edwin, Luke Henry, Elizabeth, Mary Ann, Lucy Myria, Ellen and Eliza Jane.  She was the fourth oldest of the eleven children.1
