Benjamin was born in 1666 in Henrico Co., Va..1   Benjamin's father was Robert Woodson and his mother was Elizabeth Ferris.  His paternal grandparents were John Woodson and Sarah Winston; his maternal grandfather was Richard Ferris. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, Richard, Joseph, Sarah, Elizabeth, Judith and Mary.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 57 in 1723 in Henrico Co., Va..1
