Deliverence was born on May 4th, 1711.1   Deliverence's father was Thomas Wood and his mother was Hannah Rider.  His paternal grandfather was Thomas Wood. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Content, Thomas, William, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Desire and Mary.1
