Mary was born in 1861.1   Mary's father was Herman Winters and her mother was Anna Sophia Harms.  Her maternal grandparents were Johan Georg Harms and Anna Katharina Bruning. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named John Hinrich, Johann Peter, Andrew, Edward, Henry, Herman, John August, Mina Mathilde, Anna Sophia, Christina Louise and Emma.  She died at the age of 67 in 1928.1
