Abner was born in 1781 in Pennsylvania.1   Abner's father was John R. Winder and his mother was Margaret Unknown. He had four sisters named Sarah, Ann, Mercy and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 65 on July 23rd, 1846 in Lewisburg, Ohio.1
