Stephen Alfred was born on September 3rd, 1829 in Effingham Co., GA.1   Stephen Alfred's father was Elihu Wilson and his mother was Katherine Tullos.  His paternal grandparents were James Wesley Wilson and Ann Gordon; his maternal grandparents were John Tullos and Elizabeth. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry James, Elihu, John Berrian, Eli Wesley, Andrew James, Caroline, Ann Elizabeth and Laura.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 67 on May 2nd, 1897 in Effingham Co., GA.1
