Roger's father was Roy Wilson and his mother was Nettie Mincey.  His paternal grandfather was Charles Eli Wilson. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Alton, Ralph, Herman, Leonard, Eunice, Beddie Mae, Ruth and Lois.
