Elsie Lea's father was Thomas Maybrey Willard and her mother was Melissa Elizabeth Prickett. She had four brothers and three sisters, named James Arthur, Elmer Claude, Joseph Maybrey, Issac Thomas, Alice Donnie, Grace May and Ruby Pearl.
