John was born in 1658.1   John's father was William Wilbor and his mother was Martha.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Wilbor (Wildbore) and Ann Bradford. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, William, Samuel, Daniel, Benjamin, Mary, Martha and Joanna.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.1
