Augustus was born in May 1863 in Cleveland, Ohio.1   Augustus' father was Peter Wetzel and his mother was Katherine. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry, William, Emma and Louisa.  He was the second youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 40 in 1903 in Cleveland, Ohio.1
