Caroline Iola was born in 1858.1   Caroline Iola's father was John Matthew Wells and her mother was Jane E. Thompson.  Her maternal grandparents were John R. Thompson and Rhoda Boykin.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 34 in 1892.1
