Elizabetha was born about September 1799 in Bensheim, Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany.1   Elizabetha's father was Mathai Weidner and her mother was Anna Marie Muhlum.  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Christopher Weidner and Anna Margretha Schultz; her maternal grandparents were Joannes Muhlum and Catherine. She had two brothers named Franz Ludwig and Laurence.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Leonard, Leonard, Francis, Philipp, Appolonia, Eva Marie, Anna Marie and Magdalena.1
