Rachel was born in July 1736.1   Rachel's father was Matthew Watson and her mother was Bethiah Reed.  Her paternal grandparents were William Watson and Mary Orr. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Matthew, William, John, Samuel, Abigail, Bethiah, Lydia, Mercy and Mollie.1
