Ethel was born on March 19th, 1886 in Screven Co., GA.1   Ethel's father was Hardy Waters and her mother was Martha Ann Sasser.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry B. Waters and Clarissa Parker; her maternal grandparents were Littleton A. Sasser and Mary Ann Parker. She had four brothers and a sister, named Corrie, Destin, Otto J., Hardy and Dollie O..  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 39 on December 8th, 1925.1
