Andrew Warner 
Andrew was born in 1595 in Great Waltham, Essex Co., England.1 Andrew's father was John Warner and his mother was Mary Purchas. His paternal grandparents were John Warner and Margaret; his maternal grandparents were John Purchas and Margaret Mrs. Purchas. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Edward, John, Thomas, Elizabeth and Rose. He died at the age of 89 on December 18th, 1684 in Hadley, Hampshire, MA.1 General Notes

Records not clear on when Andrew came to American from Hatfield Gloucestershire England to Cambridge Massachusetts. Appears he was born in England and came to Cambridge Mass. in 1630. Made a freeman of the Massachusetts Bay Colony on May 14th, 1634. The first direct mention of Andrew Warner in America is an entry in the town records of Cambridge, Mass., then known as "Newtowne." Records indicate that Andrew Warner was among the more prominent and wealthy members of the new colony. Taken from "The Descendants of Andrew Warner."

Andrew remained in England until he was about 35 years old. He was very active and stirred with the Puritan preaching of Rev. Hooker. Thought he came to American following Hooker and escaping the persecution of Puritan's in England during that time. He stayed with Hooker until the Rev's. death, even following him to CT. Andrew lived to be about 90, and stayed very active in community affairs until his death. Remarkable man.
