¹ Nicholas' father was Joeseph C Vought and his mother was Millie Conklin. His paternal grandparents were Henry Christian Vought and Rebecca Nelson. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Elijah Christian, Joseph Perrault, William, Henry Christian, Jacob Christian, Katie, Louisa Christian, Maria, Sallie Christian, Abbie Jane, Eliza and Hester.¹
