Nelson was born on September 25th, 1858.1 Nelson's father was Isaac C Vought and his mother was Martha McCartha. His paternal grandparents were Henry Christian Vought and Rebecca Nelson. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles M, Theodore, Abram Oresta, Martha Elizabeth, Rachel Ellen, Ida C and Evangeline. He had five half-brothers named Henry Edward Christian, Nelson C, Oresta C, Theodore C and Charles M.1 -
