Geertje was born on September 11th, 1687.1   Geertje's father was Anthony Goosen vanSchaick and her mother was Maria VanderPoel.  Her paternal grandparents were Goosen Gerritse vanSchaick and Geertje Brandt Peelen; her maternal grandparents were Teunis Cornelise VanderPoel and Catrina Croon.  She was an only child.1
