Marten Pieterse Van Buren 
Marten Pieterse was born on September 28th, 1701 in Albany, Rensselaer, NY and his baptism took place on December 28th, 1701.1 Marten Pieterse's father was Peter Martens Van Buren and his mother was Adriaantje Barentse. His paternal grandparents were Marten Cornelis Van Buren and Marritje Quackenbosch; his maternal grandparents were Barent Meynders and Eytie. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Cornelius, Barent, Tobias, Ephraim, Maritie, Eytie, Cornelia and Maria. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.1 -
