George Franklin was born on July 1st, 1878 in Woodland, Summit, UT.1 George Franklin's father was Milton Octavious Turnbow and his mother was Mary Lois Judd Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Turnbow and Sylvira Caroline Hart. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Samuel Milton, William Daniel, Arthur Mitchell, Benjamin Octavious, Parley Nathaniel, Lois Sylvira and Mary Alice. He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named David Milton, Cecil Carter, Edward, Claudius, Thaddeus Leon, Lenora, La Retta and Loretta.
