Joseph was born about 1680.1   Joseph's father was Lewis Tucker and his mother was Sarah Gunnison.  His paternal grandparents were William Tucker and Grace; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Gunnison and Sarah Tilly. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hugh, John, Richard and Grace.  He was the second youngest of the five children.1
