Richard Tracy, Esq., of Stanway, the third son of Sir William Tracy, obtained from his father the Manor of Stanway, in the County of Glouster, part of the lands of the Abbey of Tewksbury, which came into the family by grant from the crown. He suffered greately in his estate because of his fathers heretical will. He wrote several treatises in the English tongue. He was the Sheriff of Gloucestershire in 1560. He m. Barbara Lucy, d. of Sir Thomas Lucy Knt., of Charlecote in Warwickshire.
