Caleb was born on May 17th, 1661 in Hampton, NH.1   Caleb's father was Philip Towle and his mother was Isabella Austin.  His maternal grandparents were Francis Austin and Isabella Bland. He had six brothers and a sister, named Philip, Joshua, Benjamin, Joseph, Francis, John and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 102 on September 20th, 1763 in Chester, NH.1
