John Tillotson (1618-1670) came from Halifax, Yorkshire, England in the 'James' to Boston, Mass in 1635, was one of the first settlers at Rowley, Mass where he was a proprietor in 1645. He moved to Newbury, Mass in 1648, to Windsor, Conn in 1660, then to Saybrook, Conn in the section that later became the town of Lyme. [phelps.FTW]
