Job Taft 
Job was born on February 2nd, 1772 in Uxbridge, MA.1 Job's father was Silas Taft and his mother was Elizabeth Mary Cruff. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Taft and Mary Lewis; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Cruff and Abigail Sprague. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Dan, Asa, Silas, Lewis, Cruff, Abigail and Mary. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 68 on August 15th, 1840 in Triangle, NY.1 General Notes

There are no documents proving Job Taft's descent from Silas Taft. No recorded or probated wills or deed can be found. They do however, appear together on several census sheets - most notable the 1790 Census of Albany County, New York. Without concrete evidence to this effect the Mayflower Society is currently rejecting application for descent from Richard Warren to Job's descendants even though they currently accept a descent line from Job's brother Asa.
Job Taft appears on the 1830 Census for Broome County, New York - city of Lisle.
