John Alfred was born about September 1882 in LUDINGTON, MICHIGAN.1   John Alfred's father was John Bendt Swanson and his mother was Anna Anderson.  His paternal grandparents were Swan Swanson and Anna Unknown. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Alexander, Victor, Arthur W, Anna Josephine, Lillian and Laura C.  He was the oldest of the seven children.  He died on January 9th, 1939 in LUDINGTON, MICHIGAN.1
