John was born in 1508 in Glemsford, Suffolk, England.1   John's father was Thomas Strutt and his mother was Johanna Strutt.  His paternal grandparents were John Strutt and Isabelle Strutt.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 83 on April 22nd, 1591 in Glemsford, Suffolk, England.1
