William Strayhorn 
1 William's father was James Strayhorn and his mother was Rachel Cabe. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert Strayhorn and Margaret Roan; his maternal grandparents were Barnaby Cabe and Elizabeth Perkins. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Elizabeth and Mary.1 -
