Donald was born on October 23rd, 1909 in Herkimer, Herkimer County, New York.  Donald's father was James Strait and his mother was Anna Strait. He had a brother and two sisters, named Stuart, Marion and Pauline.  He died at the age of 86 on October 21st, 1996 in Syracuse, New York.
