Amelia was born about 1858.1   Amelia's father was William Stechon and her mother was Mary Kreger. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Agustus, Lewis, Bertie, Mary, Pauline Ernestine, Lina and Rosa.  She was the oldest of the ten children.1
